    Hi SparkED Network! Below is a recording of Session 2 of the Mastering Alteryx Designer Tools Training, where Alteryx ACE, @Deanna Sanchez, continues the series with Alteryx Data Preparation. Gain experience with tools such as Filter, Sort and Summarize as you analyze Airline Passenger Satisfaction Data. Additionally, you'll understand techniques for data filtering, sampling and grouping. The packaged workflow is attached to this thread. Deanna also builds upon Session One's pizza sales workflow - (Session 1 Recording Here).    Weekly Challenges for Session 2:  - Weekly Challenge # 348: Reorder a List of Names Uses the Trim String Formula Functions   - Weekly Challenge #164: Retail Therapy Uses a Join but can be performed without one   - Weekly Challenge # 291: A Winning Halloween Candy Basket Uses a Join Multiple or Two Joins   Mastering Alteryx Designer Tools: A Foundational Training is a beginner-level training, designed exclusively for SparkED students, learners and educators with basic analytics knowledge and little to no experience with Alteryx Designer.    We will dive into the world of data preparation, manipulation, and analysis with the guidance of our Alteryx ACES - Analytics experts and community advocates. Deanna Sanchez, Alteryx ACE and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) expert, will be leading these trainings this upcoming Fall, sharing her expertise on all things data analytics and Designer core tools and functions through hands-on Alteryx Designer application with sample and/or publicly available datasets.   Participants will gain mastery over a variety of Alteryx Designer tools, including Input Data and Output Data Tools, Filter Tool, Union Tool, Parsing Tools, among many others. We'll provide you with real-world scenarios to put your skills to the test and gain practical data analytics and Alteryx experience.   Hi SparkED Network! We are back with the continuation of the Mastering Alteryx Designer Tools series, but this time with a focus on intermediate and advanced-level topics! Join Alteryx SparkED for the highly requested extension of the Mastering Alteryx Designer Tools series – Beyond the Basics.   Checkout the recording below of Session 4 - Analytic Apps. During this training, Alteryx ACE, @Deanna Sanchez, provides a step-by-step overview on how to create three different types of Macros: Standard, Batch and Iterative. A Macro is a workflow or group of tools built into a single tool that can be inserted into another workflow.    Attached is a zipped file containing the completed workflows, with macros included within the workflows. The workflows are in an Alteryx Package .yxzp format, and participants can save the attached file to their local directory or desktop, then unzip the files prior to opening them in Alteryx. Deanna's PPT Deck is also attached to this thread.    Deanna included Comment tools with helpful hints if the macros show an "Input" error; these hints are only for those macros that use a File template within the Macro Input tool. For the Iterative Macro, a Text Input tool is used as a template, so the macro should run smoothly. Participants can also right-click on any macro, then open the macro. Once opened, the macro can be saved to a new directory using "File / Save As".  This is helpful if the participant would like to save the completed macro to their own custom macro folder and toolset, as shown in the training session.     This part two training series is tailored for individuals who have a solid foundation in Alteryx Designer and are eager to explore the more intricate aspects of data analytics, reporting, spatial analysis, and automation through macros and apps. The very knowledgeable and esteemed Deanna Sanchez, Alteryx ACE and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) expert, will continue to lead these sessions, sharing her expertise on all things advanced analytics through hands-on Alteryx Designer application with sample and/or publicly available datasets.   If you missed part one of the Mastering Alteryx Designer Tools series from last year, access the session recordings below! An app consists of a workflow with a user interface created using Alteryx Interface Tools.   Attached are the Analytic Apps Deanna created during Session 3, and she included a bonus Analytic App that shows the List Box tool.  Also, Deanna added notes with Comment tools along with additional bonuses for two of the workflows/Analytic Apps, showing a few more Interface tools that can be beneficial. Don't forget to save the attached zipped file to a local directory or your desktop, then unzip the file.
